   House of Bricks Reflection

My favourite Lego activity was, The racing cars because Ruby and I keeped testing our police car over and over again. Ruby and I had to keep changing our police car over and over to get the police car go faster so we could win. 

My least favourite Lego activity was building your own creation because I was planning to make a pool house but it came looking like a building. Then we had to unbuild all of our creations. 

It took forever to unbuild. 

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was the tower because It was too hard to work with 5 people because we kept on fighting about how to build the base of the tower.

The most challenging activity was the moza pattan in Tumu because you only had to use one layer of Lego and then you had to unbuild it all with a tool.

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because we all worked like a team. We all helped each other out. My group decided to work in pears so it would be easier.

? Should schooling be online ?

I think that schools shouldn’t be online because you can’t hang out with your friends or communicate with other people in person .

You can’t chat with your friends and plus you always have to go on google meets like between 9:00 and 10:00 every  day and you pretty much don’t have enough time to do your creates.  

Also it will make your parents go crazy and they won’t get time to themselves so don’t have schooling online. 

Plus you’ll be at school for almost 6 hours so let your parents have time to themself.

 

Umbrella

    This week My Class and I have been writing a story about a Yellow Umbrella here is My Story about the Yellow Umbrella. This story is Empathy. 

Umbrella 

Early one stormy morning, 

The door to Miss Elem’s Home For Children opened

wide.

The girl with the bright sunflower yellow umbrella,

cautiously entered the olphonge before finding

a home for her umbrella. Not Wanting to be seen.

Baris Quickly whipped his head

around the door frame so that he was Hidden from view.

Stanning off to the slide, the girl observed the

joyful scene

as children searched in the box for hidden treasures.

The Girl smiled as she watched the young boy racing

around

the room like a rocket. Her smile quickly faded as she

looked

back at the umbrella stand and all she saw were

puddles.

Her beloved umbrella had suddenly disappeared.

  Margaret Mahy 

On Thursdays the 20th of May Tumu hub went to Margaret Mahy and we all had Rotations to go to. We had the Victoria Square , Margaret Mahy, Moari footpaths, the tuna mats and the waka.  

My favourite part of the trip was the waka. There was a girl waka and a boy waka.

I went into the girl waka and all the girls keeped on saying he har and we went a little bit out of time but in the end we said it in time.

  

Something I learnt In victoria Square was that James cook was the first man to come to New Zealand .

The other thing that I learnt is that Victoria Square is named after the old Queen that died in january 22nd 1901.

Victoria Square had a statue of Victoria and on the statue it had facts of when Victoria died.          

 

The thing I found the most interesting was that there were some  Maori Carvings on the foot paths and there were some  Moari boats, some tuna and some Moari words.   

This trip has helped me with my PBL because It made me understand more of what my PBL was about.

If tumu Hadn't of gone to margaret mahy playground tumu wouldn't have no what to write.

But everyone  knows what they are going to write.    

sentence Expansion

 This week We are learning to expand our sentences with more detail.

Oscar cried.

When: Yesterday

Where: at school

Why:  he was getting bullied

Yesterday Oscar cried at school because he was getting bullied

 by John and Jim, 

because Oscar was trying to help his friend.

When: A few days ago 

Were:  at school 

Why: because he was being mean

They had an argument 

A few days ago at school Bob had an argument with his friend 

because he was being mean and Bob said some hurtful words to his friend.

Today I will be telling you about how to write a quality blog post and comment.

We have been learning to make a good post and comment.

I am going to share my task with you.

I have made a slideshow showing you how to make a good blog post and comment.

I think that this is important because the more you blog the better you get at blogging.

I like to blog about my learning because I can share it with everyone. 

The reason I enjoyed this task is because I love creating slideshows and I love adding colors to slideshows.
